Malaysia Trip Part I: Jawi and Penang

I started a trip to Malaysia quite early on April 24,2010. The members of this program consisted of 8 guys, my grandma, my mom, my brother, my older sister, my niece and 2 of my mom's sisters. We were ready at 4 am and the journey began.
After 2.30 hours of driving, we stopped at Trang for breakfast and enjoyed dim sum and tea. Then we arrived at the Sadao immigration checkpoint around 11 am and crossed the border. First, we had to visit my grandma's cousins so we spent around 2 hours finding their houses because some had relocated or rebuilt the house. Albeit the sunny summer day and walking along the street here and there, when I saw my grandma's delightfulness in her eyes when she met her cousins and recalled the memories, I felt no more exhausted.
Penang
Next, we headed to Penang via Penang Ferry Service, the oldest ferry service in Malaysia, and just only 15 minutes to reach Penang Island. The famous ferry service connects Sultan Abdul Halim ferry terminal in Butterworth to Raja Tun Uda ferry terminal at Weld Quay in George Town in Penang Island.

Dinner was set at Red Garden food paradise and night market located at Penang Upper Road.

Night city sightseeing walking from the Bay View Hotel and after that, I joined with my aunt and my brother at the hotel lobby lounge. Located next to MWE Plaza sits the Espresso Cafe and hang out along the Penang Upper Road. (Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion is not far from the hotel)
